So the globalists couldn't exactly beat the republican party machine in California, so they attempt to take over the party instead. The new platform they hope to install wants to give in to the comprehensive immigration reform crowd, as well as the gay rights, the right to choose, and become more flexible on gun control.
In other words, become liberal Democrats, but call themselves moderate republicans
On immigration, the tentative changes represent an acknowledgment of the state's changing face. Hispanics accounted for about 80 percent of the increase in registered voters in the state over the last decade, according to pollster Mark DeCamillo of the independent Field Poll. Broadening Hispanic support "is the single most important matter that faces the California Republican Party," DeCamillo said.
