RUSKIN — Hillsborough County sheriff's detectives are looking for three men and a gray Jeep in connection with the beating death of a man whose body was found at a camp for migrant workers early Sunday.

Sheriff's officials said they first received a 911 call from the 5200 block of U.S. 41 shortly after 2 a.m., but deputies found no one in that area.

Two minutes later, a second 911 call came in from the same cell phone, but this time from about a half-mile away, at a mobile home park at 718 19th Ave. NE. That caller said someone had been beaten in a fight, sheriff's officials said.

There, deputies found the body of a man in his 30s lying in a dirt driveway. He had been severely beaten, officials said.

Residents told investigators they heard what sounded like an argument or fight before the body was found.

Detectives have identified the victim but haven't released his name because they have yet to notify his family.

Sheriff's officials said they are looking for three Hispanic men, who all weighed about 150 pounds and had short black hair, as suspects. One is in his 20s and wore a gray T-shirt and blue shorts. The second had a muscular build and wore a white tank top and blue shorts. The third was in his late 20s, had a mustache and wore a blue shirt.

The three are believed to be driving a 1990s gray or metallic gray Jeep Cherokee with black trim on the bottom edge under the doors.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-873-8477.
