Hard to believe it, but LA has teamed with private companies to raid and seize counterfeit merchandise. Now for the big question. Will they complain about how the stuff got here in the first place? After all; it's arriving from foreign countries through our secure borders

(Los Angeles) – As part of their enforcement efforts to crack down on pirated and counterfeit goods, the Los Angeles Anti-Piracy Task Force, chaired by City Controller Wendy Greuel, will announce the results of “Operation Chimney Sweep”, the largest raids on counterfeit goods in Los Angeles history, tomorrow, Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 10:00 AM at LAPD Headquarters – COMPSTAT ROOM - #1000 (INSIDE), 100 W. I would put down some money that those knuckleheads skipped that "culturally vibrant" portion of downtown LA which is boycotting sales and income taxes through cash sales and double books. A significant portion of the merchandise there would be pirate and knock off.

I wake up at three or so to go to work - I went to bed at about 5:00 pm yesterday. We have today off as a holiday.

I'm going to hit the market at 6:00 this morning for the Christmas ham and the other fixin's - hopefully before the mob makes it out.
