It's an act of vandalism. It could have been a knucklehead who torched it and ran in "honor" of Cinco de Mayo, or it could have been some cowardly yahoo who had a personal beef with the owner and the flag burning was a safe "confrontation" with May 5 being coincidental.
Either way, it's an asinine act.
