OK,

The law says thou shall not drive while inebriated.

It also says thou shall have a license of the appropriate classification for the vehicle being driven.

It applies whether one is a resident of Maywood or Hollywood Hills.

The article alleges racism due to the fact that more people are found driving without a license than driving while inebriated in certain neighborhoods.

And the point is? If it were me, the white guy, there would probably be more legal ramifications and consequences than a mere walk home. And to tow the vehicle of an unlicensed driver stopped in a certain part of town is racist?

I've also seen mothers with children removing stuff from the trunk before the walk. It strikes at my protectional instinct as a man, but what is the real difference? The driver was AN UNLICENSED DRIVER IN VIOLATION OF THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE.
