As a suggestion, it might be helpful to bold the "Border Patrol Hold" and "Federal Hold", skimmers might miss that and assume that Spanish names rather than legal status is what's being addressed.

Maybe a link might be handy for the curious yet lazy to look up the penal code database for clarification of charges and convictions.

Do you suppose the officer suspected Tang of poaching, but didn't have proof, so nailed him any way he could?

Years ago, there was a Cambodian guy who was busted poaching endangered Desert Tortises to sell in the LA area Asian market for meat. He's probably still "Bruno's" cellmate bitch and will probably be for years to come.

He'd have probably done less time for killing a convenience store clerk for fifty bucks.

I'll look into it when they charge him, but the Fish and Game are sworn law officers and often make arrests for non related offenses. tang may have been in the state park while doing some no-no, and the F & G officer was nearby.

These charges surprise me.

If Iwere to present fraudulent ID, I could look forward to this sort of treatment.

But an illegal alien? Cut loose to skate every time I've known of, this is the first I've ever heard of such charges for anyone of this particular persuasion.
