RE Gratitude for your decision to adhere to employment and work visa rules

The management, associates, and supporters that make up our organization, Save Our State, would like to both thank and offer support for your recently published decision to follow US worker documentation rules at your store. With unemployment running in the double digit range in California alone, it makes perfect sense to take additional steps that would ensure that only California citizens and legally authorized residents will benefit from any jobs that California companies offer. In addition, with stepped up audits and enforcement by ICE, it would be advisable for every employer to re-examine their employees elegiblity status given the lack of enforcement of immigration laws by the federal government, and the porousness of US borders. We understand the difficult situation large employers face in that regard; The federal government winks at the mention of millions of people illegally present and polluting the labor pool choices with unauthorized workers who all too often are willing to provide fraudulent statements or documentation to obtain employment, but at the same time threatening to fine or otherwise sanction employers should they be found with the forbidden tainted employees.
We applaud your effort, especially in the face of these contentious times where people breaking immigration and work visa rules are being portrayed as victims and unjustly classified as "immigrants" in a misbegotten attempt to justify their presence and infractions, or to support the perverse political goals of racial hucksters and vote-hungry candidates.
It is my belief that your store will be supported by American shoppers if this pattern continues, and especially so if it spreads throughout the chain.
