We had a good enough showing to see this as somewhat of a victory. It was underfinanced, had a confusing and misleading ballot title written by the obviously biased state attorney general, and did not appeal to everyone within the state because it involved the sacred "children".
Given those adversities, we did pretty well. I didn't want to say this while the thing was circulating, but I thought this was not the best place to put that much effort. Not that I didn't want to stop the DREAM act, but that for all the effort we relied upon, we should have gone for something better, and that didn't have the adverse stigma of "kids" associated with it. In addition, it only stopped one single bill. But I'm glad Tim did something at a time when not many are doing anything. |

At this stage, there is no such thing as failure, only a failure to act. Every effort keeps the enemy off balance and since the enemy has no legitimacy, this is important.
