Default Oregon Court Curbs Limits ICE Holds, Doesn't Stop Them

http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2014/...g-deportation/

Quote:
The ruling has led sheriffs in Oregon’s Multnomah, Washington, Marion and Deschutes counties to suspend the use of immigration holds. The regional jail that serves Hood River, Wasco, Gilliam, and Sherman counties will also no longer comply with ICE detainer requests.
Another erosion of immigration law enforcement. The way these stories are displayed makes it seems as though holding a person for any federal immigration detainer is a violation. But the courts are only saying that they cannot hold them BEYOND the time allowed for the STATE charges. It wouldn't be a consideration if ICE moved faster and brought their investigations to a forefront while the person was still being held on other charges. But Obama is curbing ICE activities, so they cannot move at all. Correction: ICE still moves quickly to enforce other laws.

Immigration holds themselves are quite constitutional as long as they charge them with violation of immigration law, and the state jails are still the main facilities to hold persons arrested for federal crimes. You get arrested for federal tax evasion and you'll be held in a county jail until you either bail out or have a trial. The trouble starts when the the feds ask the states to act in their stead without authorizing charges. No one should be held without charges (NDAA anyone?) But ICE has a huge federal resource at their fingertips, and they can tell who is in the country illegally in short order. Our porous borders, coupled with liberal immigration judges and lack of enforcement for years has overwhelmed the system, and our dereliction-of-duty presidents (yes, it's plural, Bush did the same thing, as did Clinton) refuse to step up and give them enough resources to even make a good show.

So now it's going to get worse unless congress steps up to the plate and does something to force the president's hand. More illegals will roam the streets freely, as the only enforcement mechanism to hold them for violating immigration law has been gutted by the courts and the president. I will state the feds have had, and do have many reliable sources to take illegals into custody. Employee I-9 forms that show mismatched ID's, bank records like ITIN's, and many other records that would lead them right to the illegals at their jobs and even their homes. The previous method was a farcical one anyway, as it supposed that any illegal getting charged for a state crime was more of a threat to public safety. I say it was farcical because it in order for it to work, the public already had to have been harmed.

Maybe this new policy will finally show the public just how bad the enforcement mechanism is where immigration laws are concerned. All the blood will be on the federal government's hands at this point, because any state or local jurisdiction will be able to point out that they are completely powerless without federal authorization, and neither the president or congress have done that. And there will be blood, you can count on it. Illegal alien criminals re-enter this country illegally again all the time, and your president as well as your congress consider you expendable resources where their desire for open borders, cheap labor, and new customers for their campaign contributors products are concerned

The goal of replacing the American worker has been in the works for years. Americans were too expensive for business. They expect safe workplaces, decent pay and quality products. China flooded the market with cheap goods but big business needed buyers of their crap, and they wanted that cheap labor. So they pushed to replace the Americans who expected better. To complete the task they knew they needed to overwhelm the court system.

Today Mexicans (I say Mexicans because that is where the majority are from) have replaced us here in California. Just look around and actually pay attention to who is working and what quality they bring to that position. They are hired, not because of their ability to improve the position, they are hired because the HR is Hispanic, they can speak Spanish and they probably knew someone else who told them about the job (another Mexican). Few jobs are advertised, it's all about being in the chain of knowledge (knowing Spanish and through friends that speak Spanish).

In the past I would tell people that our government wanted to replace us. Well now it has pretty much happened. Many businesses now don't even bother to hire the "token" white person, why should they, no one complains because to do so would be "racist".
