The strategy here is real simple. Many on the left would love to stifle honest discussion about, or criticism of, illegal aliens, in an argument they can never win on the merits. Consequently, it is in their interest to have your opinions classified as "hate speech."
It'll take a less than half a minute of your time, and is a small but effective way to stand up to PC loving lunatics who would love to infringe upon your First Amendment rights, when you say things with which they disagree.
