Default California Legislature Moves To Ban Display Of Confederate Flag

The state Legislature is close to voting on this bill that would prohibit the state from selling or displaying a confederate flag, or anything with the confederate flag on it except in a textbook. Is this legislature so fearful of another rebellion that they want to strike all reference to it's existence from the official record? What other purpose could this bill serve? The confederate flag was an officially recognized symbol of a period in this country's history, and now they want to have any sight of it stricken, banned, prohibited.

We are talking about never displaying the flag in a state museum or any historical re-enactment, or a school play. This is about as close to absolute censorship as they have come yet. That I know of, this state has not banned the display of any other flag, including the Nazi flag, the Rising sun, or any symbolic flag used by an actual enemy of the US, past or present. I'm unclear as to what constitutes state property. Schools? If so, why would the state want the kids only to see the flag in a text book. That's a rhetorical question of course. The answer would lie in the state's ability to then present the flag in a manner they choose, and not give the students a chance to envision it in a natural setting

We lose more and more of our freedom every day. They chisel away at it, while at the same time cry for social justice. Every day they try to punish those that won't abide by their fascism.

I don't have money to burn, but it's time to get one and display it along with my American Flags.
