Default Californians, there is an election this Tuesday, 6-8-2010

It's only a primary held to elect party nominees for elections this November and if you are registered "decline to state", you might ignore it. But there are bound to be elections grafted on for local issues and positions and there is also a few statewide propositions, numbered 13-17.

So, be sure to vote.

I would point out Proposition 14, which is about primary elections. It wants to make it possible for anyone to vote for any party nominee and so defeat the whole purpose of the primary which is to hold elections for political parties. So here you have an opportunity to vote in a primary election of the workings of the primary election itself, which we do not need.

There is also Proposition 15, which wants to create a grant for political campaigns for qualifying candidates. It sounds like it might work. Within the guidlines here at SOS, would anyone care to share any information on this proposition?

Same with my ballot. I vote after lunch because I know it is very slow at that time. I was the only one there to vote at the time.

I voted also. I just love throwing my ID on the table and saying a few words. It always makes everyone squirm.
