October Federal Hate-Crime Trial For 2 In Pa.
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) ― Two eastern Pennsylvania men are scheduled to go on trial this fall in federal court on hate crime charges in the 2008 beating death of an illegal immigrant from Mexico.

U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo last week scheduled the trial of 20-year-old Derrick Donchak and 18-year-old Brandon Piekarsky to begin Oct. 4 in Wilkes-Barre. He gave the defendants until May 15 to file pretrial motions and supporting briefs.

Now why do you suppose these two kids are on trial in federal court for hate crimes?

Before you read on, just ponder it for a moment. Why are they being prosecuted?

Because they were ACQUITTED in state court.

From the article.

A Schuylkill County jury acquitted the teens last year of the most serious state charges against them, angering Hispanic leaders and civil rights groups.

Hate crimes statutes are "Innocence is no defense statutes". They are a way to wind around constitutional double jeopardy protections.

This means that the prosecution has all that the defense can produce, all the defense arguments. There is absolutly NO WAY these kids can be found anything but guilty.

They will be railroaded by a kangaroo court because they made hispanics angry.

Yes, that's the final gotcha from the feds. Hate crime; because it's the thought that counts
