Default Cactus Thorns, Irreverant Barbs On Desert Politics

I found this interesting, not sure where to post it. http://vote29.com/myblog/

I found what appears to be a little political web paper which seems to be based somewhere between Phelan, California and 29 Palms, California. There's some charm to the informality with a smattering of curmudgeon, and it has a button on the selection bar called "TRUE STORIES", right next to the "SURVIVOR" button.

It's called Cactus Thorns, check this out:

Speaker of the House nancy pelosi has senior citizens arrested for not having invitations to elite press release on the capitol steps, of the democrats convoluted 1990 page health care plan .

Last time I checked ms. pelosi those steps belonged to the people!

Just another example of the arrogance and unmitigated gall of this administration.

Wake up America, this is yet another of numerous signs of things to come if we leave these incompetents in office!

“Hi Little Girl”, Apple Valley man likes his women about…. 9

In September 2007, deputies from the Hesperia Station took a report from two young girls alleging a family friend, Kenneth James Pretell, 45 of Apple Valley had molested them. The crimes occurred in Riverside, so the case was further investigated by Riverside County Sheriff’s personnel. Their investigation resulted in an arrest and the Riverside District Attorney’s office is preparing for trial.

On October 20, 2009, two other young girls unrelated to the first victims, reported to deputies in Apple Valley that they too had been molested by Pretell in 2002 & 2003. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children Detail became involved and searched Pretell’s home, arrested him and took his young child into protective custody. Pretell is being held at West Valley Detention Center on $1,000,000.00 bail.

Detectives believe other children who Pretell had access to may also be victims, but may also be unaware of the pending charges and possibly afraid to come forward. Detectives urge anyone with additional information or questions to please call the Crimes Against Children Detail at (909) 387-3615.

The San Manuel Ampitheatre in Devore is owned by the County of San Bernardino. The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians purchased naming rights for the ampitheatre and concert promoter Live Nation contracted with the County as the booking agent. In the contract the County of San Bernardino gives Live Nation the authority to book specific acts or concerts. This coming Friday and Saturday, Live Nation has booked an event known as the Cypress Hill Smokeout. The event is being described as both a concert and a celebration of the marijuana culture.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department wishes to remind concert-goers that while state law makes provision for the posession, use and cultivation of limited amounts of marijuana for medicinal purposes, it does not allow the recreational use of the drug. Further, there is no provision in the law for the use of marijuana while operating a motor vehicle, whether someone possesses a doctor’s recommendation for the drug or not.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Officers from the California Highway Patrol will be staffing the Cypress Hill Smokeout around the clock. All sections of the California Penal Code, Health and Safety Code and California Vehicle Code will be strictly enforced.

“We welcome vsitors to the San Manuel Ampitheatre, and we will be on hand to enforce the law and to ensure the event is safe for everyone involved,” said Sheriff Rod Hoops.
