Default Bob kellar Needs Support at Tuesdays City Council Meeting

Councilman Bob Kellar needs support at this forthcoming Santa Clarita Valley City Council meeting.
We expect opposition to show up and speak against him. We would like everyone that can make it to the meeting to show up in support of Kellar.

Asd you know you cannot bring signs into the meeting but prior to the meeting you can be outside with your "Kellar is a Hero" signs or whatever you want.

Below is the meeting schedule with time and place from the SCV website:

Public Participation Process

During the Public Participation portion of the meeting, each person wishing to speak should prepare a presentation of not more than three (3) minutes. Public Participation speaker's slips must be submitted to the City Clerk BEFORE this portion of the meeting begins. Anyone wishing to address an item on the agenda should fill out a speaker's slip and submit it to the City Clerk BEFORE the Mayor announces the item. Each person addressing the Council is given three (3) minutes to speak indicated by a colored light system on the Council dais; a green light appears when the speaker begins; a yellow light appears when 30 seconds remain and a red light appears when time has expired. Comments should be complete at this time.

That's what the tactic is all about.

Make a lot of noise about a statement taken out of context, loudly make accusations of racism.

Focus as much attention to the statement as possible, diverting attention from the real issue, illegal immigration, as well as demonize the politician so severely that his reputation is permanently stained and no one will touch him with a 50 foot pole. He'll be a political wet dog.

The man's political career will be tried, convicted, and executed in a media Kangaroo Court as an example to other elected officials.

That's why it is so important to be careful as to the words which are spoken. Not only does it sidetrack attention away from illegal immigration, but if one is vulnerable, they will be on that person like a pack of hyenas on a zebra carcass.
