Default Sac Sheriff Joins The Sanctuary Movement

Sacramento Sheriff Scott Jones went on record today as stating the new law that prohibits law enforcement officers from cooperating with federal immigration holds is a good law.
He went on to parrot the mantra about having people within his jurisdiction feeling they can contact the sheriff to report crimes without fear of deportation. It's a short step from here to actually begin reaching out to illegals as a constituency and support group as many other law enforcement officials have done, and given that the sheriff recently endorsed Kamala Harris for attorney general even though he's a registered republican, and she a democrat, the writing is on the wall now that the sheriff has gone progressive on us.

this interview revealing his policy on illegals and the TRUST Act follows very closely on a recent grant the sheriff accepted from the FEMA people for training on domestic terrorists. It's a bit disconcerting to find our sheriff open to the feds propaganda in regards to American citizens, but disregarding any threats from non citizens in the country illegally. In addition, one has to consider the duplicity or hypocrisy of a sheriff that refuses to aid the feds on immigration requests while willingly taking the feds money to further federal political goals in another enforcement arena.

Apparently we don't enforce federal laws, but we do enforce federal political agendas
