Default Greenfield's Older Immigrants Hostile To Recent Migrants

Ha! Ain't this a kick?
Longer term Latino immigrants taking issue with newly arrived migrant farm workers and their betheren in a California town. They sound just like us too. Who would have guessed that immigration control proponents are not just white and black....

I'm going to publis a wee bit more of the article than normally allowed by copyright law because the issue is so closely connected to our cause. But there is lots more to it

http://www.sacbee.com/2011/08/13/383...an-divide.html

Quote:
Ortiz and others in newly-formed community groups complained that the Oaxacan families clustered in overcrowded apartments and garages, threw trash into the streets, thronged city parks, held loud parties. Some urinated in public and were involved in break-ins.

"It's fine when you live over there in Oaxaca," said Ortiz, 53, whose grandfather came from Mexico. "But here things are done differently. Here you have to maintain your home, your children, your job and yourself."

Ortiz, who works for a seed company on the edge of town, helped form "Beautify Greenfield." The group's goal was to clean up graffiti, trash and weeds. Its members decried the dilapidated apartment complexes scattered among neatly trimmed lawns and modest homes, the boarded-up windows splashed with gang insignia and rows of foreclosed homes.

Members of the group and its offshoot, "Save Greenfield," quickly pushed into city politics. They took to city council meetings, social media sites and local newspapers to air a series of escalating grievances against the Oaxacans.

Among Beautify Greenfield's charges: The new migrants ruined the town financially, "destroyed" its school system, caused violent crimes and were part of gangs, which are pervasive in the Salinas Valley. The migrants, "invaders from the south," should be deported.
Quote:
The community groups were, in turn, labeled racist by the press and migrant leaders.

And the stupidity on the part of the Mexican invaders has hit its highest point now. I am so glad to see this happen. The folks from Oaxaca have a very nasty reputation. Now lets see what goes down!

I'm guessing that the stupidity is related to the invaders calling thier latino counterparts racist? They're not stupid as much as they are conditioned by invader supporters. The racial trump card is standard procedure, and taught in the book "illegal immigration for dummies", available for free at most openborders group meetings.

These are entirely different groups of people:

Quote:
Ortiz, 53, whose grandfather came from Mexico.
Quote:
Oaxacan families clustered in overcrowded apartments and garages,
In spite of what a lot of clueless white Americans believe and what agenda laden fertilizer race obsessed American "Latino activists" calculatingly dispense, there is quite often a lot of friction between the two groups.

Someone whose Grandfather came from Mexico doesn't ordinarily have a lot in common with the new arrivals, and Mexicans can push the point hard that those born in America aren't "Mexican", that rude, backwards foreigners from Mexico are somehow the cultural superiors to anyone born in America with a brown skin and Spanish last name. On the other hand, real Indians from Mexico are yet again something different from cultural majority mestizo Mexico.

Quote:
In Mexico, Rivera-Salgado said, indigenous people are treated with prejudice, considered uneducated and inferior.
Which is true.

Bedsides, no one is an "immigrant" by virtue of their ancestry. The above mentioned Ortiz is no different in American citizenship than anyone who has blue blood ancestry from the Mayflower. As well, her grandparents most likely grew up during the depression, may even have been young witnesses to the Mexican Revolution, and her parents born in America just before or during the early years of WWII, a largely different world than we live in now. Both of her grandmothers and one grandfather may have been born in the US, and who knows before that.

The suggestion that at least third generation Ortiz is merely a disgruntled older version of modern border hoppers plays right into the hands of gleeful brown racists, and the article panders to them by saying

Quote:
because the split here pits immigrants rooted in the same country
Which is bullshit.

Someone like Ortiz might not like Mexicans and want them gone from her city or even deported, but perceiving white hostility in confusing her with illegal Mexicans who should be deported might feel pushed into sympathizing with the brown racial agenda. And there will be a "Latino activist" there to remind such a person at every turn of every real, exaggerated, and fabricated tale of white on brown discrimination.

The multi generational thing and oftentimes burden for those with Latin American ancestry is not black and white nor cast in stone.

I see the contradictory mixture of the first generation born in America in my own household on a daily basis.

What should be glaringly apparent is the absolute disdain and disregard that the agriculture industry has for US immigration law. If they existed, the growers would import vampires to work the fields, and let them suck the blood from the local townsfolk for sustennance. They are without conscience or constraint apparently. These corrupt bastards need to be driven from our state or we will most certainly be kneeling before them someday too

It has been glaringly apparent to me concerning the construction industry since 1981. Check out the services industries, such as restaurants and fast food, hotels, and others.

Illegals don't come here and physically remove American employees from their jobs; American employers displace American workers with illegals, primarily because an illegal will work for nothing and forty years later come to the realization he's been ripped off.

And your Congressman, Republican or Democrat, stands behind the employer in this regard.

However, I commented in this thread because of the misconception believed by many of this:

Quote:
Longer term Latino immigrants taking issue with newly arrived migrant farm workers and their betheren in a California town.
Rachel Ortiz and the members of Beautify Greenfield are not immigrants of any sort. They might have even less in common with illegals than many on this board, except for last names and skin tone.

That's where I believe the anti illegal movement loses it. There are people who exalt Lupe Moreno and Ray Herrera on the keyboard, but if the pair were seen in line at Lowes they would be confused with illegals.

I believe that has to change, otherwise the anti illegal movement will continue to spin it's wheels in relative irrelevancy.

Nothing will change until we recognize that we have to charge elected officials with the crimes that they commit against the people of the USA by facilitating the illegal entry and subsequent existence of foreigners on our soil.

We must keep tabs on illegals but more than that this movement must produce charges against all politicians who are part of the scam. get a few in court and the rest will fall in line with enforcing the law.
