I wouldn't take it personally. People have been trying different media to get the attention of their representatives and getting no response from them, so it's not always a priority when something else comes along.
I also have noticed that commentary was down across the boards everywhere. The cop forums, the 2nd amendment forums, and the immigration ones. it's like people are drugged right now. Could be a lot of things, but just keep plugging forward anyway. That's what we do.

I don't twitter, face book or E-mail politicians and law enforcement.

I'm an old fashioned Guy. I write letters on my "operational" letterhead and mail via the post office often enclosing reports, booklets, news articles. My letters are in color and all copies to others are also in color. I attach my "business card" with name, address, phone, E-mail.

Over the years I have received back responses from:

President of the USA
Vice President
White House chief of staff
Presidential candidates
GOP Chair
Senate leaders
Senators
Congressmen
Mayors
Sheriffs
Archbishops
Prime Minister of Canada
Governors Generals of Manitoba and British Columbia
President of Mexico
ICE Deputy Director
State Senators
State Assemblymen

I only write to those that I agree with, stay focused, on target and with a specific goal and agenda. I don't bother with opponents, most of the time, as they are already of a mind set.

I never join in sending out mass faxes by some organizations or send any of the many "pre-written" letters that I receive written by organizations. The Senators and Congressmen routinely have staff "dump" them. A congressman will receive 1,000 letters per day. Certainly staff, or the Office of Public Affairs, will cull through and only select out certain of those that have significance and interest to the principal.

Time for an "Old Dog" to learn some new tricks! People here are well spoken and personable, "Me" I'm more of a "Kiss my ass! You backstabbing traitor!" kinda of guy!

These Senators have staff that read they're email, facebook and twitter accounts! And calling is always a good thing! People are fed up I know, and many have thrown they're hands up! Now is not the time to give up! You guys/gals have made so much headway this past year! And because of all of you all us "Rookies, Greenies, Newbies, etc." are now joining you in this fight!
