Default Rep. Knight votes against amnesty and avoids provoking hornet's nest

Dear Friends,

VICTORY!!!
Our efforts to strip out the amnesty provision in the must pass National Defense Authorization Act was successful!

This is the second time in two years that pro amnesty forces have tried to inject amnesty for illegal aliens into an armed forces funding bill, and we’ve defeated them both times!

And both times the CA 25th District Representative and the activists here and in Southern California have played a roll in stopping this amnesty.
Interestingly, the current CA 25th District Rep. Steve Knight voted to remove the DACA amnesty from the NDAA and voted for the Brooks Amendment.

Lets take a moment to analyze what just happened.
Almost two months ago, Rep. Knight voted with every single Democrat and helped pass the DHS funding bill, which allowed full funding of Obama’s executive amnesty. The amnestied illegals would then receive work permits, Social security cards, welfare benefits and full access to American jobs, presumably even entry into the US Armed forces.

In response Activists in the district and Southern California, confronted Knight on that vote. Knight issued a threat to an anti-amnesty protester while being taped and that video went viral, with over 430,000 people focusing on this previously unknown freshman Republican Representative. Leading newspapers and news sources from across the country reported on the incident, and Rep. Knight was forced to say over and over that he didn’t vote for amnesty (even though he did).

I think it is fair to say that after all that, and after recently saying so many times that he (Rep. Knight) didn’t vote for amnesty, it would make it extremely hard for Rep. Knight to vote for another amnesty, especially after the recent controversy. If Rep. Knight did vote for the DACA amnesty in the NDAA funding bill it surely would have further discredited all of Knights previous assertions that he didn’t vote for amnesty.

Nevertheless it is encouraging that for the time being Rep. Knight voted the right way, and I commend Rep. Knight for voting with the interests of Americans. Lets hope his voting record stays on track.

I think it is also fair to say that Rep. Knight and his staff is now taking the issue of illegal immigration and the activists that oppose open borders and illegal immigration a bit more seriously. Perhaps, Rep. Knight has also discovered that we activists have our own defenses and that we can also be a formidable match. After recently getting stung by voting for amnesty does Rep. Knight really want to go back and provoke the hornet’s nest?

Most people would want to stay away from a hornet's nest, I know I would.
