Douglas, Ariz. - Two female Mexican nationals were arrested in separate incidents recently for attempting to smuggle more than 200 pounds each of marijuana, with a combined value of almost 207,000, through the Port of Douglas. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers on Saturday selected a Ford sedan, driven by a 25-year-old woman from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, for a secondary inspection and found multiple packages of marijuana, worth nearly $106,000, hidden throughout the vehicle.
