For the past seven years, Chelene Nightingale has been a leading Constitutional activist organizing many political events that garnered both national and international attention. In fact, Ms. Nightingale organized the “Free the Texas Three” march for Deputy Gilmer Hernandez and Border Patrol Agents Ramos & Compean in Hollywood. Back in 2006, she was the campaign manager for the libertarian gubernatorial candidate, Art Olivier. Past leadership roles include managing director, a vice-presidential position, production coordinator, and director. Besides operating a family business, Chelene currently is a home schooling mother and public speaker. Schwilk has rushed to defend Chelene's honor by writing an article for Examiner.com that refutes the court rulings against Nightingale and attempts damage control by way of defamation:

Jorge gave $6000 to Mike and Chelene Nightingale in 2008 when the couple was hurting financially due to some family emergencies. Jorge then suddenly demanded full repayment in the fall of 2009, but refused to accept any payments that the Nightingales tried to make. Jorge then maliciously filed a civil suit in small claims court claiming the Nightingales refused to repay a loan. Jorge obviously chose to take his hostile legal action right in the middle of Chelene’s gubernatorial campaign in an attempt to harm her politically.
