Coconuts! Naui is revoking their indigenous natives ID cards as we speak. Doug McIntyre has weighed in on this matter: Exhibit B: The thugs who threw rocks and bottles at cops because a drunken, knife-wielding Guatemalan immigrant was shot in a daylight confrontation with the LAPD on Sunday. I wasn't there, so I don't know. But the rock and bottle throwers weren't there either. We do know Manuel Jamines was a "nuisance who was habitually drunk," and allegedly threatened people with a knife in broad daylight. It's never a good thing when the cops have to use lethal force, but Mr. Jamines' behavior was the catalyst of this tragedy. Does anybody really believe the LAPD employs a squad of bike-riding assassins? Henceforth the Secretary of Knock It Off! will require equal moral indignation when illegal immigrants are doing the killing. The deafening silence that followed the murder of Jamiel Shaw II still shames Los Angeles. As has Walter Moore: Judging from Channel 2's coverage last night -- which I saw but could not find a copy of -- it looked as though a few in the crowd were trying to provoke the police. And why wouldn't they, after all the money Villaraigosa handed illegal aliens without a trial for the "May Day Melee?" The solution to this kind of BS is simple: enforce the damn law. Enforce the immigration laws. Enforce the laws against public drunkenness. Enforce the laws prohibiting people from blocking traffic. Enforce the laws requiring people driving cars to have a license, registration and proof of insurance. The Los Angeles Times reports that at least 22 people were arrested at last night's riot. How many of them, do you suppose, are in this country legally? Oh, mustn't even ask, because only Nazi Germany and Arizona believe in immigration laws, right? This isn't rocket science. This is what happens when career politicians treat illegal aliens as if they are above the law, and refuse to lift a finger to protect the quality of life of the City's law-abiding, tax-paying citizens who pay their excessive, unearned salaries.

Today I was watching as they interviewed one of the residents. He laughed and said some of the protesters were trying to make the officers do something so they can sue the City. Sounds like Mayday 2007.

LA is almost bankrupt, couldn't find money for the traditional veteran's day parade. All those political scandals of cities laying off employees while shoveling out obscene compensation and gold plated retirement to mayors and council members as well as all those slush funds and all the rest of the graft. Could Villaraigosa really get away with throwing money at affronted illegality yet again?

COMMUNITY CONTROL OVER THE POLICE. I suppose they want to hire their gang members to be police officers. It is not enough that the LA PD is at least 50% hispanic. |
