Our govt isn't doing it , at this point I'm not going to argue with anyone making an effort. I don't have to agree with their thinking but I want the damn illegals stopped.

I have mixed emotions about this event and the organizers.

First the SPLC is a propaganda spin machine interested in pocketing donations. They even call FAIR Federation for American Immigration Reform Nazis.

Second I don't know anything about this watch group. Never heard of them. But I certainly am skeptical of the hatchet job in the article.

Third I understand Pinal county Sheriff Paul Babeu's concern. But I also understand how fed up the Arizonans are. Obama promises National Guard, nothing happens, the cartel is running amok, gunning down ranchers, shooting law enforcement officers hauling in 30 stand up border jumpers per pickup load.

The Sheriff said he can't control the area and the National Park Service and Department of the Interior closed parks and wilderness areas to Americans.

Frankly speaking, I am looking the other way on this. Personally tough talk and a few body bags may be the message that needs to be heard by the invaders.

I'm not losing any sleep over this one. Not even if Adolph Hitler and Count Dracula get involved.

The more this problem drags on, the clearer it gets that Obama and the open borders want civil unrest, so that we will accept their amnesty crap. Conspiracy theories seem to becoming less of a theory and are becoming more of a fact. Especially after Sen. Kyle's disclosure of the conversation with Obama where Obama stated he doesn't want the border secured until he can get amnesty for the illegals.

Exactly what kind of property are these folks going to wandering around on? Is it private? Is it public? You think this might have been reported somewhere in this story.

Basically I-8 runs East West. Usually the method is to post 2 vehicles per mile, 2 persons per vehicle. That's along the DOT right of way. Further South the property is probably private or BLM Federal Bureau of Land Management. It can be looked up on the Arizona BLM maps. The area can be seen on Map Quest. There is a relatively narrow strip of land along the interstate speaking in broad regional term. It apparently extends a few miles South . In and around the Towns of Gila Bend and Casa Grande there is private land and municipal property.

Some action will be on DOT right of way, some on a strip of land just South of Interstate Highway I-8 and some possibly could also occur close to the towns as there have been car chases on the highway and incidents of traffickers in the Towns. There could be possibly three or four scenarios. Cartel scouts/lookouts, ambushers, back packers walking North, mules returning South, pickups laden with stand up illegal aliens, highway chases and potentially sneak invaders in the Towns.

Pima Couny is on the West and Pinal County is on the East. The action is around Gila Bend this time.

Regionally, to the border, practically all of the land is Military - Barry Goldwater bombing range, , Tohono O'odha indian reservation, Federal Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife refuge and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

The Barry Goldwater bombing range is vast extending East and West for miles. The mules cross it regularly. Adjacent to the South and East the Indian reservation is, of course, under jurisdiction of the Indian tribe and tribal police. They are completely overrun. It not only extends to the border but goes across into Mexico. No border fence can be built there as it is out of Federal jurisdiction and it would split the tribe.

Cabeza Priets Wildlife refuge is adjacent to the South of Goldwater bombing range and extends to the border. *( The Department will not allow any motorized vehicles which seriously limits Border Patrol actions. To her credit Secretary Napolitano had severely criticized this limitation ).

Organ Pipe NM is adjacent and West of the Indian reservation and extends to the border.


The Vekol Valler region appears to be rugged, forbidding and desolate. However, the green patches East, to the right of the Google imagery, are irrigated farm fields of crops which should be private land.

Is the indian reservation really a problem for border patrol? It seems like making the reservation a better partner by funding it for border patrol operations might be a solution. Tribal police are not likely to have the resources to keep the illegals out, even where they might want to be doing something about it.

I wouldn't credit Napolitano for criticizing limiting motorized vehicles in this wildlife refuge. She may want to see more motor vehicles there because her supporters are illegals or sympathizers who need those vehicles to better traffic accross the border there. Always remember, illegal immigration requires traffic in both directions accross a nation's borders. And why should general limitations to motor vehicles necessarily restrict BP vehicles? The problem is not police in the area, the problem is in visitors.

Motor vehicle travel in environmentally sensitive areas can be better suited by educated drivers and appropriately equipped and managed vehicles. And certainly this is something that could be managed by official vehicles.
