These are kids, raised in America, who are told by the schools, racist brown activists and often their parents that they are "Mexican". They are used by others to play a part of a racial agenda.

The "Mexican culture" that is pushed at them in school is a selective hybrid of nominal Mexican consciousness mixed with far left American politics, an unhealthy dose of hypocritical political correctness, and a distorted racial view of their role in society - mostly that of oppressed victims who are destined to shake off the shackles of white repression.

Think that America is homophobic? Go to just about any bar in Mexico and start trolling in drag, someone who does so might get about the same treatment as some pocho American who starts babbling all that Aztlanista bullshit in Mexico - Mexicans don't cotton to either one. Unless there is an advantage to be gained by manipulating some gay, pocho ethnic studies professor who goes to Mexico on some "unity" or other lunatic racial mission, and Juan Gabriel probably got his ass kicked long and hard as well getting some teeth knocked out before he got to the the point that "macho" Mexican men would pay a lot of money to go to his concerts to heckle him - with the "alternative lifestyle" singer laughing all the way to the bank at the stupid, drunk assholes.

Everyone is entitled to their political opinion and he has a right to express his dislike of a candidate. On the other hand, it is unclear what he means by his second sentence.

They get plenty heard. That's why there are so many racist brown Americans in politics.
