Default Sacramento DA Warns Against Work Comp Fraud

Well, this is a bit unusual, but also welcome really.

The Sac DA has made a public notice regarding a work comp fraud case recently tried that boldly states the outcome, in an effort I believe, to dissuade others from following the path. The release to the county website also highlights the money the defendant owes, and that she has to disclose her assets. The latter portion might be an effort to locate people with information about possible hidden assets or income. This case must have been near and dear to the DA, and/or there may be another stack of requests to prosecute others on her desk, and with limited resources these days, this could signal an effort to warn anyone else that you are rolling the dice now, and work comp fraud prosecution is on the burner. Lots of people owe money to the government for taxes, fines, fees, and judgements. Some miscreants owing for failure to pay light rail fares have warrants close to this amount. The point is that the DA is aiming at something here.
