It seems to have quite a circulation on the web, but I didn't find anything about it at the LA Times. However, I did find this at ResistNet.com http://www.resistnet.com/group/idaho...imes-is-coming

There is no link to the LA Times.

Maybe The LA Times is coming around!

Quote Of The Week

"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California , but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office. I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine , even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington , we're number one. There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'. The three of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab. You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

Burt Prelutsky

Burt Prelutsky's writing background is varied and extensive.

He was a humor columnist for the L.A. Times and the movie critic for Los Angeles magazine.

On a freelance basis, he has written for TV Guide, the New York and Washington Times, Emmy, Modern Maturity and Sports Illustrated.

For TV, in addition to several award-winning movies that starred the likes of Jean Stapleton, Ed Asner, Keith Carradine, Jack Warden, Martin Balsam, Sharon Gless, Jean Simmons, David Soul, Lillian Gish and Richard Thomas, he has written for "Dragnet," "McMillan & Wife," "Mary Tyler Moore," "Rhoda,""MASH," "Bob Newhart," "Family Ties," "Dr. Quinn" and "Diagnosis Murder."

He has interviewed and in some cases befriended the likes of Groucho Marx, Oscar Levant, Gene Kelly, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Norman Lear, Jerry Herman, George Kennedy, Art Linkletter, Alan Alda, Mae West, Fred Astaire, Samy Cahn, Sid Caesar, Harry Ruby, Jack Webb, Ginger Rogers, Phyllis Diller, Otto Preminger, Jackie Gleason, Bob Hope and Gerald Ford.

Mr. Prelutsky is the author of the L.A. Times best seller "Conservatives Are From Mars, Liberals Are From San Francisco."

He is prepared to speak about the celebrities he has worked with and has known personally. He can speak about why Hollywood is as foolishly liberal as it is. He can speak about how he came to have a writing career in television and even how, at the age of 50, because of ageism in the industry, he came not to have one. He can speak about how he, who grew up in an immigrant Russian-Jewish home that regarded FDR as a saint, finally came to see the light and become an avowed conservative. Or he can speak about all of the above.
