It's extremely easy to desire a hangin' judge to scrub the population of undesirables, until you yourself are standing front of one who's shaking out a coil of rope.

The same goes for interpretation of the law - Rose Bird is an excellent example of someone who placed her political view above her legal duties to rule impartially and according to the Constitution.

Legal interpretation cuts both ways - we need judiciary who are genuinely dedicated to the concept of equally blind justice on both sides of the scale. We don't need "activist" or corrupt judges of any persuasion.
