Default First then more:

First Rick Perry has a duality philosophy about illegal immigration. Duplicitous ? Perhaps ! Pandering ? Perhaps!

The media assails him for #1. In state tuition for illegals. #2. Opposing fence. In actuality he is not advocating open borders. On the contrary he persistently has called for 3,000 national guard on the border. So he is opposed to crime, drug smuggling, border spill over. So his opposition to a fence isn't that he favors allowing crossings. His advocacy of in state tuition illustrates that he has a heart even if he doesn't have a brain. After college the illegals can't be hired. It has to be ascertained how much of his opinions are personal religious convictions and how much are political pandering to get votes.

On the matter of immigration I am opposed to ALL immigration at this time. There should be a moratorium. Stop all legal and illegal until we get the mess straightened out. The economy is a shambles and getting worse. Unemployment is out of bounds completely. Troops/veterans are coming home by the thousands, many to broken homes, unemployment, divorce, foreclosure, living on the streets and in tents.

My advocacy that I am promoting to Arizona and Texas is to invite hard core veterans to the strategic places such as the Arizona mountain top lookout/lay down areas and thousands to the border. In Texas hard core veterans on ranches and along the Rio Grande and Gulf Coast in the "hot" corridors as well as volunteer watchers. Conditions of volunteering are: Volunteers pay their own transportation then submit receipts to the State for reimbursement. Meals and lodging are paid for by the volunteers and the expenses reimbursed. No compensation for serving. Minimum 2 weeks and extended indefinitely. Ancillary equipment such as radios, night vision goggles and such has to be worked out in the plan.

Actually Jim Gilchrist, Minuteman Project, advocated these volunteers some time back, here on SOS Thursday phone in - then fell silent.

Canada has an interesting tax reimbursement program for short term casual, tourists and foreign hunters. When visiting Canada, any purchases on which sales tax has been paid can be listed on a form, after returning home, and sent into the Canadian Government for reimbursement.
