I agree completely with the spirit in which you speak. But I think part of the problem is US citizens who own property on the borders of this country in both the north and the south. If you want the military to patrol our physical borders, and I would like to see that too, then you must abide by troops on the ground on somebody's property. Not mine, of course, or your property, but some US citizen (I hope they are
all US citizens.) will have to agree to that. And frankly, I think no such agreement should be necessary. That's part of the price a property owner pays by living on the US border and the country, the federal government in this case, should not suffer any kind of resistance to the need to put people on the ground on property that contains the US border.
