This has been going on for decades.
The liberals and even communists have been using the public schools as recruiting centers ever since the 1960's and probably before that. In an El Segundo city council race, shop teachers had 13 year old students making yard signs for their favorite candidate. Parents raised hell...for a couple of days. It is against the California Education Code for schools to be used for partisan political purposes, but that has no relevance to the left. Conscripting other peoples' children to support the Democratic Party is OK with them.
I don't know how to deal with the problem of the left's takeover of the public school system at almost every level. The left will not obey the law, but you can't get rid of them because they're too strongly entrenched. Thank God that Arizona is starting to lead the way by defunding ethnic studies, which are a total fraud and never should have been allowed at all. Well, you have to start somewhere.
