Regardless of who dominates congress, congress doesn't have direct control over the President's employees in the executive branch.
And, the blame game is merely a thing to distract from the fact that both parties have had perhaps an equal hand in screwing things up. It's not the happiest marriage made in hell, but republican and democrat politicians bed down together a lot more than their bluster relates, even if it is for entirely different reasons.
I consider the majority of them to be whores, and probably just about everyone who goes to Washington to "clean house" is seduced and compromised sooner than later.
I further believe the sincere who stay sincere get run off.
