Unfortunately the edit button goes away after a day or so. The reason for that is that some people edit stuff long after the fact and it might escape the moderation that would normally occur in the first day or so. So a goon could post a normal looking statement and come back in a week or so and change it to something that makes the place look bad. At this point it's best to start a thread in the "
contact the moderators" section and have someone fix it for you
