Subject: Illegal alien status

Hello Ms Kice,

I haven't bothered you for some time, and we would like to get an official answer to the people within the immigration law enforcement movement as to the status of Nickie Diaz Santillion, Meg Whitman's former employee.

Can you answer whether:

She can be detained and removed

She is in the process of being detained or removed

Has she been through any previous removal proceedings

If she has no previous detention or removal proceedings, will any be initiated now that ICE is aware that she is in the country illegally and violating employment laws

And lastly, can you verify her status as an illegal alien

Thank you,

Davi Rodrigues

Davi – here’s what we’re saying about this case.

ICE STATEMENT
As a matter of policy, ICE does not disclose whether it will conduct a specific law enforcement action in the future. The agency is focused on smart, effective immigration enforcement that prioritizes efforts to target dangerous criminal aliens and others who present the greatest risk to our communities. In the workplace, ICE’s enforcement strategy focuses on identifying employers who knowingly hire unauthorized workers and engage in related crimes such as worker exploitation, visa fraud and human smuggling and trafficking.
