Default Issues more important to Latinos

Interesting opinion By a reader of the North County Times, A San Diego County periodical.

Quote:

Issues that are more important to Latinos

Re: "Obama takes gutsy step on immigration," Aug 24: Miguel Perez stated that Latinos now have a reason to vote for President Obama, simply because of the "gutsy" immigration step he taken. Not all Latinos are as ignorant as Mr. Perez thinks we are. There are other important items that the rest of us Latinos are concerned about, and not just immigration. We deeply care about the economy, the military and family values too. This president has done more harm to Latinos by failing to improve the economy. Also, by Obama setting a withdrawal date from Iraq and Afghanistan, that has only encouraged further attacks on American troops, many of them Latinos.

Mr. Perez, how many more Latinos need to die because of this president's failed leadership? Also, by failing to control the borders, many illegal drugs end up in Latino neighborhoods, which causes crime to rise in these neighborhoods. How many more Latinos will become drug addicts before the borders are properly sealed? Mr. Perez, Obama's overall failed leadership is a reason for Latinos not to vote for him.
