Everyone is suddenly concerned about racial profiling, in reality it has gone on since forever ago. If you are looking for a certain suspect, woman/man, age ,size and indeed, some times race or even type of dress.
I would call it a description of the suspect/preson.
The new way of thinking is to give no description and when the wrong person is picked up, you have committed a wrong. If there is a bad person in my neighborhood, I really want to know who to watch for.
