I will agree with the thought that question # 6 was not what you ask a third grader. Another point, look at who is responding to the assignment, a mother and who ever the man is, both hispanic. What did you expect their answer to be?

Their response was reasoned and right.

Neither one believed the question to be appropriate. The mother didn't like it at all, and the educator agreed that it shouldn't have been.

The question is subtle propagandistic suggestion.

And Jean is right, it begins in the schools. It's part of the general plan cooked up by Jose Angel Gutierrez in late 60's with experience drawn from the "Cristal experiment" and lessons learned from the failed La Raza Unida Party.
