I've been trying my hand at building web robots for us, and here's something that one of my hapless creations drug home like a cat leaving a dead bird on the front porch.

This guy was arrested for:

PC 415(1) Misdemeanor
UNLAWFUL FIGHT/CHALLENGE IN PUBLIC PLACE

And here's what that section says:

415. Any of the following persons shall be punished by imprisonment
in the county jail for a period of not more than 90 days, a fine of
not more than four hundred dollars ($400), or both such imprisonment
and fine:
(1) Any person who unlawfully fights in a public place or
challenges another person in a public place to fight.
(2) Any person who maliciously and willfully disturbs another
person by loud and unreasonable noise.
(3) Any person who uses offensive words in a public place which
are inherently likely to provoke an immediate violent reaction.

(2) Any person who maliciously and willfully disturbs another
person by loud and unreasonable noise.

I particularly remember seeing video of a rally where several assorted goons used bullhorns just out of physical reach to yell "racist" at participants.

I believe that the above would apply to that scenario, and perhaps the wording concerning provocation of immediate violent reaction might apply as well. Don't stick your bullhorn in my ear and expect to keep it intact.

This is very useful information to have. I'll be printing this for future use.

I bet the police will refuse to help you if you ask them for help when someone does this to you.. The police will not charge the person (legal or illegal..)

Maybe yes and maybe no.

Some people know how to use 911 as a weapon. A mere allegation can turn into a three year felony charge with your choice of a DA's Effed up deal or the crap shoot of a jury as well as the expense for quality representation.

They can have you between a rock and a hard place day before yesterday, and screw with you for some time to come.
