San Diego CBP Officers Find Almost 1,000 Pounds of Marijuana Inside Scrap Cardboard

Otay Mesa, Calif. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers working at the Otay Mesa cargo facility discovered almost 1,000 pounds of marijuana in a shipment of scrap corrugated cardboard. On Monday, August 26, at about 1 p.m., a CBP officer inspecting a 1999 Freightliner tractor pulling a trailer with a shipment of scrap corrugated cardboard referred the conveyance and shipment to the dock for an intensive examination.
