Maybe you, like myself spent the weekend with an overpowering sense of impending doom, and maybe a sense of depression as news of the Corker /Hoeven fig leaf amendment seemed to crush the growing opposition to the amnesty bill, and with it all the talk of super majorities in the Senate.
It's important to remember that tomorrow, Monday June 24, 2013 is our day to have our say. It's the day we get to speak. They've gloated and taunted us for the last three days. Now it's our turn to represent ourselves.
We're the true owners of this country, and Monday is our turn to say what needs to be said.
We all know we've been betrayed by the Republicans, and the Democrats. They've made a deal in closed back rooms to sell the country from us,
But this isn't over yet. Now they have to hear from us. This weekend we filled up their voice mail and email boxes and in the morning they're going to see how powerful our voice is.
Let's flood their phone lines, it's time the Senate, the "Greatest deliberative body" finally listens to America".
I guarantee you this bill isn't going anywhere after they hear from us.
