Laredo, Texas - Today, the U.S. Border Patrol celebrates 89 years of proud history and unwavering service. Back on May 28, 1924, Congress passed the Labor Appropriation Act of 1924, officially establishing the U.S. Border Patrol. On that very same day, Laredo Sector began operating and set up their headquarters at the home of Mortimar Hanson, Laredo's first chief inspector. (more)
