Buenas tardes a todos

Just a quick update, for those interested, on the Magana family from my previous emails. Today friends and relatives had a yard and food sale and they raised funds for the family.

The Mexican consulate has agreed to help this family and we have secured commitments from an Immigration attorney as well as a family law attorney to help with the case.

At this point our main concern is the well-being of the children and we hope that this week we will be able to know for sure what the best course of action will be. We will keep you all posted, in the meantime, any donations for the family can be sent to:

Carlos Magana o Irene Perez
408 E. South Street
Rialto, CA 92376

Family can be reached at (909)644-7877 or (951)261-0022 for any questions.

Thanks to all the people that has helped and donated to this family, specially Debbie and Jennaya from the Rapid Response Network and Jose from Son Real.

Have all a nice weekend.

Gracias
Emilio, hotline

Hola a todos/ buenas tardes.

I looking for assistance for this family, Mexican couple with 5 US citizens children, one is 18 years old and 4 are minors.

Father is detained at traffic checkpoint and arrested for warrant due to prior driving without a license conviction. ICE placed hold on him. Mom goes to RCSO Robert Presley detention center to visit husband. At the regular visitation,Sheriff officers request ID documents. Mom provides Mexican matricula consular I.D. Sheriff's officers suspects that she is also undocumented and detained mother for immigration purposes. She is picked up by ICE from county detention center for no reason other than not having a proper I.D.

Both parents are detained and older 18 years son assumes temporary care and custody of his minor siblings. Brother is looking for financial assistance to support his siblings until parents are either released or deported.

Not able to apply for welfare or food stamps because of fear that Child Protective Service might get involved and children might end up in foster care.

Any ideas about resources or assistance for this family?

I have been doing calls but many places are closed due to holidays. Another blatant case of abuses by local LEA under the 287(g) agreement.

Gracias

Emilio

Subject: yard sale to support magana family
Date: Fri, 1 Jan 2010 20:34:42 -0500

Buenas tardes a todos/ Good afternoon to all.

Friends and relatives of the magana family and members of the rapid response network will do a yard and food sale to raise money for the magana family. As you might recall from previous emails, both parents in this Rubidoux family were arrested right after xmas and are in immigration detention and the kids were left to fend by themselves. Carlos, the oldest son who is just 18years old, is taking care of his other 4 siblings, including one with medical problems.

They need to raise money for food, rent and expenses for the immigration legal representation. The mom was transfered to El Paso Immigration Detention Center and the father is still detained in Riverside. Please help us to raise money to help this family by spreading the word about this event. The yard/food sale will take place as follows:

Saturday January 02, 2009
5556 mission blvd #104
Riverside, ca 92509
7 am to 11am for yard sale,
11am to 2pm for food sale
There will be music by grupo Son Real as well as plenty of antojitos mexicanos.

Gracias

Well, now the open borders hordes are feeling the pinch of paying for the illegals upkeep. Gee, considering all the tax dollars used to pay for their kids education etc. now let them start supporting what they encouraged to stay here. Well, they held a bake sale. Considering it cost the taxpayers $1,000 a month for each one of those kids to go to school, a bake sale is the least they can do.

Now more need to be put in this position and maybe they'll get the picture that they don't belong here and we're tired of supporting them. When the money has to come out of their own pockets, the picture will sure get a lot clearer.

[B]Too bad people are so dumb. They think to have a few kids will protect them from any of their crimes. It is pay back time now such as ,'thinking you can take over anyplace you want and live as you please. No need for anything legal, that is for the legal Americans to do'. So long scammers.[B]
