US Authorities Investigate Incursion By Mexican Federal Police
EL PASO, Texas -- Border Patrol officials are investigating an incursion by Mexican federal police into the United State on Thursday morning.
U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Doug Mosier said armed officers with Mexico's Secretaria de Seguridad Publica federal police were in the incursion, which took place in El Paso, near the Border Patrol's Ysleta station.
The Mexican government, Border Patrol and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are investigating the incident. U.S. authorities responded to the incident.
An ABC-7 viewer contacted the station early Thursday, saying her son, husband and friends were hunting on the Rio Grande levy on the U.S. side when men on the Mexico side fired shots, narrowly missing them. She said more men on the Mexico side drove up with automatic weapons and into to U.S. side. She said the armed men fired weapons and stole hunters' chairs and drove back into Mexico.
Mosier said Border Patrol agents and Texas Parks and Wildlife officers were sent to the area immediately.
"Upon approach, our agents observed those subjects (Mexican officers) who committed the incursion return back to Mexico," Mosier said.
Mosier said that at no point of the initial investigation were there any allegations of shots being fired at subjects on the U.S. side of the border, nor is there any information to suggest that any personal items were stolen from the U.S. side of the international boundary.
"We remain in constant and direct contact with our partners in the government of Mexico as the investigation unfolds."

Wouldn't it be nice if all illegal Mexicans walked back to Mexico?

They have a homeland and don't want to stay there. Yet they are proud
of their Nationality?

Anyone understand that one?

Essentially it's the little man complex, and most do want to return.

There is little to be proud of in Mexican history, so there are a bazillion grievances nursed in the Mexican national consciousness. Much of it has been disseminated by rote in Mexican elementary schools since the 1920's, a system pioneered by the late education minister Jose Vasconcelos. Vasconcelos was born in Oaxaca, but went to school in Eagle Pass Texas. A read of his La Raza Cosmica (the Cosmic Race) shows an envious hatred of the United States as well as an expressed racial view.

Generations of the Mexican government have exploited this view to divert public attention from reform. The social pressure safety valve for Mexican government has been remittances from the United States as well as a barrage of cultivated animosity towards the US.

As well, Mexican culture is a mixed Mestizo culture which demands assimilation, which means that Mexican Indians, revered in the National Consciousness, are hypocritically regarded as worthless pieces of shit if they are culturally Indian. As well, those who have been in the United States over, say 10 years, no longer fit into Mexico for some degree of inevitable American taint has latched onto them. There is quite a bit of prejudice against the American born due to not being entirely culturally Mexican.

The reasons they stay include: most never accumulate enough money to permanently return in style; become accustomed to the convenience of America; their American born children and those brought as children don't fit in Mexico; increased border security and difficulties and hazards of going back and forth. One woman told me that many come here because of government corruption or to escape crime of one sort or another. I worked with a Mexican whose family gave up their ranch in Colima because they would have been killed if they refused to let a cartel farm marijuana on their property.

Most brown people who are publicly loud in the US about being Mexican and babble about "our beautiful culture" may have Mexican ancestors but aren't and never will be Mexican enough to live and make it in Mexico.

I have run into the occasional genuine Mexican who may go so far as to hate Mexico for some reason or another, but these are few and far in between.

....

That's a nice sentiment, but a poor reflex.

Border control means controlling the border both ways. That's right, for real border security we have to police traffic across our borders going either way. We don't want people just wandering in and out of the country any time they feel like it, especially those that have come illegally.

"Self deportation" is another word for what you are talking about. It's a huge national security issue just like illegal entry. Those who mule illegals across the border depend on the ability to exit the country illegally as well as enter it.
