Brewer to attend Supreme Court hearing on immigrant hiring law
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer is continuing her tour of federal courthouses as courts hear challenges to state laws aimed at illegal immigrants.
Brewer will be in Washington this week as the U.S. Supreme Court hears a challenge to Arizona’s 2007 employer sanctions law.
Former governor Janet Napolitano signed the sanction law, but Brewer also backs the statute allowing counties to go after the business licenses of businesses caught knowingly hiring illegal immigrants. Opponents of the law say immigration is a federal matter.
How the court rules on employer sanctions could also determine the fate of Arizona’s Senate Bill 1070, which requires police here to ask about the immigration status of those they suspect of being in the country illegally after they are detained for something else.
SB 1070 was signed by Brewer earlier this year and catapulted her to reelection last month. Brewer was in San Francisco the day before the Nov. 2 election as a federal appeals court heard the latest round in the 1070 case.

I don't know how she is supposed to kick any 'behind' but I will support her in everything she is doing.
I don't see very many doing anything.
Go Brewer!
