USA Today/Gallup Poll: Near-Record 49% Call Democratic Party 'Too Liberal'
A near-record 49 percent of Americans view the Democratic Party as “too liberal,” according to a USA Today/Gallup poll that also underscores an increasingly positive view of Republicans.

Indeed, the percentage who describe the Republican as “about right” zoomed from 34 percent a year ago to 41 percent now, a Gallup analysis reported today. Last year, 43 percent described the GOP as too conservative, compared with 40 percent now.

The 49 percent who said the Democratic Party is too liberal is 1 point shy of the 50 percent who voiced that opinion 1994, which had been the high mark since Gallup first asked the question in 1992.

Since February 2008, the percentage labeling the Democratic Party "too liberal" rose by 12 points among independents and 8 points among Republicans, with little change among Democrats, Gallup reported. Meanwhile, the percentage who said the Democratic Party is “about right” has declined to 38 percent.

Gallup’s analysis of the trends suggested that the rising impression of the Democrats as too liberal “could be a response to the expansion in government spending since President Barack Obama took office, most notably regarding the economic stimulus and healthcare legislation.”

Although the Gallup analysis speculates that the results of the poll, taken from a random sample of 1,049 adults May 24-25, 2010, give the Republicans an advantage, it adds: “With Election Day more than four months away, however, the Democratic Party has an opportunity in the 2010 campaign to try to alter voters' perceptions of the party's ideology.” http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/DemocraticParty-tooliberal-Gallup/2010/06/14/id/361962?s=al&promo_code=A120-1

Booya!

"Bam!", "in your face", and "hell yeah", all at the same time. A term that self-congratulates, describes excitement, lets others know the magnificence of the celebration as well as the superiority of the user, and is used as an exclamation of those ideas.
