The United States recently discovered the existence of several Russian spies living in the US under cover. They had assumed names, fabricated identities and American born children who had never been to Russia.

These spies have been deported back to Russia. The children will go with their parents, even in one case an adult child. Not one person said it was unfair to break up these families. Won't anyone come forward and complain that the children will be traumatized by having to go to a country of which they know nothing, can't speak the language, and are so thoroughly American?

I guess not.

We should all remember this example next time some bleeding heart raises the argument about why the illegals and/or their children should be allowed to stay just because they have families here.

These children were part of a very unusual situation but many thousands of children of LEGAL immigrants leave this country every year because their immigrant parents have decided to go back to their original countries. Immigration goes both ways, not all immigrants stay in America for the rest of their lives, many decide to go back to their home countries. Do you ever hear about this in the media?
