This is the attitude of most of the schools here in California and throughout the country. Is the only alternative to home school? We must stop this anti-American ugliness that our schools have become.

San Diego school board condemns Arizona's illegal-immigration law
May 12, 2010 | 7:14 am

The San Diego school board voted Tuesday to condemn Arizona's controversial illegal-immigration law and call for its repeal.

But the board opted not to urge parents to keep students from traveling to Arizona. The resolution, passed unanimously, calls for administrators to devise a plan to restrict any travel to Arizona by employees for school business.

Arizona's law, which is scheduled to take effect July 23, makes it a crime for unauthorized migrants to be in Arizona and requires police to check the immigration papers of those they suspect may be in the country illegally.

LA City Council voted to boycott AZ for the law. Only one voted against the boycott and that was Gregg Smith. Tomorrow I will email him and thank him for his sanity.
I have also decided to go to OC to make all my purchases from groceries to gasoline. LA will miss the tax on our purchases if others can do the same.

I live in Ventura County so I don't buy anything in LA. Eleven years since I moved out of LA and I sure don't miss it. But Fillmore isn't that much better. I'm seriously thinking of selling my home and leaving the state.

No way am I selling my home. I have been here 40 years. I am sure they are going to raise property tax and it may put a lot of older people out of their homes. When you do not work things can get pretty rough.
