"And if the president doesn't agree? "We will go into the field," says Gutierrez, "like the civil rights movement and the suffragists did." "We will escalate," says Gustavo Torres of Casa de Maryland, "to civil disobedience."

That's an interesting little slip in that spittle punctuated barking. "We will go into the field like the civil rights movement and the suffragists did." Which means they do not already define themselves as being a part of the civil rights movement. And they shouldn't. There is no civil right anywhere to just sneak into another country and try to live there.

They have tried to pick apart the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s to aid them selves to any extent possible. It appears to have failed them though. In addition to that the hard core open borders will keep a foot on the very people the civil rights movement was for.
I remember the names those people were called as we marched or stood protesting. I would urge those people to never forget what MLK and 'millions' of others worked so hard to give them so much they did not have. They still have only part of it.
Our movement is about ILLEGAL immigration though.

....

Our movement is about ILLEGAL immigration though.

You cannot confront illegal immigration without confronting the role played by legal immigration and even people who are respected by many as citizens. Witness this thread posted about political activists trying to make it possible for non-citizens to vote:

Somali Migration to Maine: it’s the welfare magnet, stupid (http://www.saveourstate.info/showthread.php?t=1420)

"...

"There is increasing enthusiasm among immigrants for the effort to let noncitizens vote in city elections, particularly among young people, said Alfred Jacob, a Sudanese-American who is on the petition committee.

... "

Again notice a distinction being made here. Enthusiasm is coming from the "immigrants". This conceivably includes citizens. So citizens are endorsing and mobilizing to make it possible for non-citizens to vote.

This is an important observation. US citizenship is no longer an assurance that the individual respectably claiming US citizenship will uphold the integrity of US citizenship. We can guess that these subversives are anchor babies, children of people who are not both US citizens. We need to change that respect so that the public rightly looks askance at the citizenship claims of people who are not the children of two US citizens.
