Fugitive wanted in slaying of SB teen extradited from Mexico

A fugitive charged with the slaying of a teen in San Bernardino last year was extradited from Mexico Wednesday night, officials said.
Juan Herrera, 30, faces one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder for the March 14, 2008, fatal shooting 17-year-old Raymond Moreno and the wounding of his brother and friend outside the Ninth Street Mobile Home Park.
Herrera was arrested near Sonora, Mexico, in June by the FBI's Inland Regional Apprehension Team. Federal agents and San Bernardino police took cusotdy of Herrera late Wednesday at the conclusion of a lengthy extradition process.
Herrera, who police say killed Raymond over an ongoing dispute, was booked into Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
