found this on a craigslist post and thought it was interesting:
There is a difference
between "settlers" and "immigrants".
Settlers - form their own segregated community, they are not interested in learning the language or the cultural attributes of the nation they occupy. They have come to settle - to take over a territory.
Immigrants - give their allegience to the nation they have moved to. They become integrated into the society of their future. They have come to contribute to the whole.
Think about it.
